BELLFLOWER NURSERY, LANGHAM HALL WALLED GARDEN
New specialist nursery is now open:

 Thursdays and Fridays 10 - 5
 Saturdays 10 - 1. 

A wide range of both unusual and tried and tested hardy perennials, alpines, potted bulbs and shrubs is offered and a plant sourcing service is available.  Also many old and new varieties of campanulas are in stock, both dwarf and herbaceous, and the National Collection of alpine campanulas is on display in its permanent site within the walled garden.

Langham Hall Walled Gardens - Directions: 

Leave the A143 between Bury St Edmunds and Diss at Ixworth and follow the A1088 towards Norton.  At Stowlangtoft, take the first turn on the the left signposted Hunston and Walsham le Willows.  Follow directions at *** below. 

From the A14, exit at junction 47 and take the A1088 towards Ixworth.  Follow the road through Norton and at the next village of Stowlangtoft, take the right turn, signposted Walsham le Willows. 

***Keep on this road for about 3 miles; in the village of Hunston, take the left turn to Langham.  The entrance to Bellflower Nursery and Langham Herbs is on the right - go into the drive of Langham Hall and turn immediately left, up the track where there are a few parking bays under the trees.

FOR YOUR DIARIES:
NGS Open Gardens at Langham Hall is Sunday 28th March 2010.  £3.50 entry (in aid of NGS charities), children free. Plants and refreshments for sale.

Open Gardens at Langham Hall Sunday 6th June 2010 2-5pm.  Plants and refreshments for sale.
Gardens and parkland surrounding Langham Hall will be open as well as 3 acres of walled gardens.  The National Collection of alpine campanulas will be open and many interesting and unusual plants will be on sale at Bellflower Nursery.  

From Thursday 1st April 2010 Langham Hall Walled Garden and Bellflower Nursery will be open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10am - 5pm and Saturday mornings 10am - 1pm.  Visitors very welcome.  At other times, please phone or email to make an appointment.  A wide range of campanulas and interesting hardy perennials, alpines and shrubs on sale.

Also from Friday 2nd April (Good Friday) is the first Friday for visitors to take part in the Gardeners' Garden Trail.  This scheme allows visitors to see a select and diverse group of gardens in West Suffolk
between 10am and 5pm:

GOLD MEDAL AT THE RHS HAMPTON
COURT PALACE FLOWER SHOW 2009
Our display of alpine campanulas was awarded an RHS Gold Medal at this year's show.  Photos of the exhibit will be loaded shortly.  The hard work paid off and we are very proud to be awarded a second Gold Medal at Hampton Court.
 




AS NATIONAL PLANT COLLECTION® HOLDER OF ALPINE CAMPANULA, I HOPE TO BE ABLE TO GUIDE GARDENERS ON HOW TO GROW DWARF BELLFLOWERS AND GIVE ADVICE ON WHICH ARE SUITABLE FOR YOUR SITE AND SITUATION, AS WELL AS OFFER SOME CULTIVATION HISTORY AND NOTES ON GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION.

I WILL BE OFFERING SOME PLANTS FOR SALE BY MAIL ORDER FROM MY SMALL NURSERY.  PLEASE NOTE I DO NOT HAVE PLANTS IN LARGE QUANTITIES BUT WILL TRY TO FULFILL ORDERS OR SUPPLY SUBSTITUTES.


SUCCESS AT SANDRINGHAM FLOWER SHOW 2009!

THE DISPLAY OF ALPINE CAMPANULAS AT THIS YEAR'S SANDRINGHAM FLOWER SHOW  WAS  AWARDED A SILVER GILT MEDAL WHICH IS A BRILLIANT RESULT -
WITH THE SHOW BEING SO CLOSETO HAMPTON COURT, THIS YEAR WAS A REAL CHALLENGE.  ONCE AGAIN, THE DISPLAY WAS A FAMILY EFFORT SO THANKS ALL ROUND. 


THE NATIONAL COLLECTION OF ALPINE CAMPANULAS IS NOW INSTALLED IN THE WALLED GARDEN AT LANGHAM HALL IN SUFFOLK, BY KIND PERMISSION OF MR AND MRS C. BLACKWELL.  IN 2006, OVER THE WINTER AND SPRING 2007, I BEGAN PREPARING AND PLANTING UP THIS LOVELY AREA.  IN 2009 THE WALLED GARDEN AND NURSERY WILL BE OPEN ON THURSDAYS AND FRIDAYS FROM APRIL 1st 2010 10am - 4pm.

THE WALLED GARDENS ARE A GREAT IDEA FOR A GARDEN GROUP OR HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY VISIT.  PLEASE CONTACT ME TO MAKE A BOOKING FOR 2010 and 2011.
